James Cook III dropped 25.4 points and basically won this game by himself — Billy survives a nervy division opener 106.98–104, with 47 points rotting on his bench the entire time. That's not a victory lap, that's a warning: Cook bailed him out, Courtland Sutton contributed a heroic 4 points, and Billy was one bad week away from handing Scott a gift. Scott, to his credit, left essentially nothing on the table — 0.4 bench points, Jameson Williams' 4.3 notwithstanding — and still came up short because Brandon Aubrey can only do so much. Billy makes it three straight in the series, but if Cook goes quiet in Week 3, that bench is going to be a very loud problem.
