Kyren Williams dropped 31.7 points and Emmo didn't need much else — the Komets rolled to a 117–94 final that was never as close as Riley would like to remember it. The real story, though, is sitting on Riley's bench: Kyle Monangai put up 32.5 while De'Von Achane went for zero, a start/sit crime so clean it almost deserves its own exhibit. Riley lost by 24 and had a player on his bench who would have won it alone — that's not bad luck, that's a decision. Emmo pulls back to .500 in the last five meetings between these two, and with both squads still finding their footing in Week 4, the next time they meet could look a lot different — assuming Riley learns to check his bench first.
